InterContinental The Red Sea Resort, Shura Island
The project received Best Use of Art in a Hotel Project at the CID Hospitality Awards 2026 and was also nominated for the CID Awards: MENA 2026.
Inspired by the shoreline and natural character of the Red Sea, the site-specific sculptural works introduce flowing contours and organic forms into the resort interior. Their presence creates a quiet connection between art, architecture and the landscape beyond.

The larger Disco Cherry rises approximately four metres, weighs around two tonnes and is finished with approximately 150,000 reflective tiles. Light moves continuously across its mirrored surface, shifting the sculpture’s character through reflection, movement and the surrounding architecture.
A second Cherry, crafted in marine-grade steel and positioned above a water feature, creates another dialogue between sculptural form, water and reflection.
