The Trainer of Falcon

Product details:
Code: RM_110

Description:
Arabs have been keen Falconers for centuries, although the hunt nowadays is purely for sports. The trainer of falcons is known as a saggar and, rarely separated from his bird, a strong bond of trust is established. The training takes between two and four weeks and only then is the bird allowed to hunt, the most likely prey being the hubara(MacQueen’s Bustard), the stone curelew or perhaps an occasional hare. This historical photograph was shot as a collection of Mr. Ramesh, as it is also available in archive in historical images.
